When going to the link (at the bottom of this question) to signup for “ Unemployment Insurance” in Indiana, you are welcomed by the following message:
“STOP:
If you are between the ages of 18 and 24, you must apply for the Young Hoosiers Conservation Corps.
Apply now at http://www.in.gov/yhcc/2328.htm”
Is this “Age Discrimination”? why not require ALL people regardless of age to “apply” for the “Young Hoosiers Conservation Corps”? Or better yet, why require anyone at all to apply before “they” are eligible for unemployment benefits? Apply for “Jobs” YES… but a program targeted at only “young people”?
Shouldn’t people (even if they live and or work in Indiana) regardless of age have the same right to draw unemployment with the SAME stipulations as any other state in the union?
What do you think?
Please note: The Governor of Indiana is Mitch Daniels (R)
