We are buying a house w/ radon level at 7. the normal is 4. the previoius owners have their living area in the finished part of the basement, so first of all, I’m curious as to if they knew about it. Anyway, my question is can the radon seep from the basement to the upstairs living quarters? we don’t plan to do much in the basement except laundry. but the stairs go straight into the kitchen so I just want to know how unhealthy it could be to live there until we get the problem fixed. we don’t want to live here for more than a few years either. thanks.
