Does a NJ homeowners association have a right to keep a copy of a rental lease between and owner and a tenant?

by on July 19, 2010

I’m a landlord, and the adult community where I rent a second home is now requiring a copy of the lease, each time the lease is renewed or a new lease is made, between me and my tenant. They have installed a $200 fee due at each leases inception, and or renewal. I’ve tried to explain the privacy issue to the association board, and I even agreed to sign a letter stipulating the term, start and end dates of the lease. Lawyers, what say you?
