My friends will all tell you that I’m not a gambling man. but $363 million? That’s the third largest sum of money to be raffled off in the Mega Millions game since its start. while everyone else may be going crazy with the lottery tickets, I’m still holding back, keeping my cool, making good money the good ole fashioned way. but I thought in light of the recent “Mega Millions Fever” that’s sweeping the country, I’d scope out some advice for picking a lucky ticket. Yunji de Nies and Suzan Clarke of ABC share some tips to buying a lucky lottery ticket:

“Mega Millions fever is gripping the nation.

The jackpot for the lottery game that’s played in 42 states as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Island is an estimated $363 million. Lives will change if a winning number is drawn Tuesday night — or excitement will be stoked to fever-pitch if no winner is drawn and the jackpot increases.

The prize is the third-largest in the game’s history. The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won was $390 million in March 2007, according to Mega Millions.

So do you have a strategy for purchasing the golden ticket?”

ABC’s article lays it out, the odds of winning are one in literally 176 million. but hey, someone has to win it! Out of curiosity, what would you do with an extra $259.8 mil (the lump-sum walk-away number)? Front your kids’ college tuition, buy a boat, travel the world, purchase some sweet real estate? I’d love to get some feedback on this one. Be sure to include if you’re playing the Mega Millions today and if so, how many tickets you bought.

Singer Gavin DeGraw plans on continuing his tour schedule during the spring, even though he will be on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Sources from the production of the show told TMZ that the “I Don’t want To Be” singer would be on the show before the full cast was officially announced on ABC’s Good Morning America Tuesday morning. DeGraw’s current tour continues until April, even though DWTS will premiere on March 19.

The new York Daily News reports that DeGraw’s professional dance partner, Karina Smirnoff, will actually accompany him while traveling to his shows, TMZ was told by sources.

Thankfully, none of his tour dates will conflict with the show’s air dates. according to his website, DeGraw will be in Austin, TX for a show on March 20, the day after the first episode. his final tour stop in the US is on April 13 is St. Peter, MN.

DeGraw, who is known for “I Don’t want To Be” (the theme song to One Tree Hill) and “Chariot,” is not the only singer cast on the fourteenth season of DWTS. Billboard reports that the legendary Gladys Knight and opera singer Katherine Jenkins will also compete in the show. Other stars in the new season include Family Matters star Jaleel White, Extra co-anchor Maria Menounos and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver.

The Daily News also notes that DeGraw has taken part in competitions before, although the last he was a judge. he worked as a judge on the web-series called The Ourstage Panel, which sought talented singer/songwriters.

All this time, you’ve been watching Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson do their thing on the Bachelor.

Well, guess what? So have they.

Sure enough, her negative vibes on the show “led to Courtney and I not talking for a period of time…We were essentially broken up,” Ben admitted tonight on the Bachelor: After the Final Rose special.

So, does that explain why he was seemingly photographed kissing another girl recently? why was Courtney trying on wedding dresses? But, most importantly, are Ben and Courtney a couple now?!

MORE: the Bachelor Finale: who Did Ben Really Pick?!

First of all, Ben swears he hasn’t “kissed or hooked up” with another woman or otherwise cheated on Courtney.

“On my father’s grave,” he promised as he insisted that he was not seen kissing other girls and that the tabloid photos were of him with “friends from San Francisco” or “past photos.”

Interestingly, Ben admitted that Courtney went out to try on wedding dresses in public right when the negative stories about him started making the rounds. “Just to screw with people?” inquired host Chris Harrison. “You guys clearly are very weird.”

But charmingly weird enough to work out?

MORE: Hail, Mary! Tim Tebow Wanted for the Bachelor

“Yes, we’re together…I think,” Courtney sniffled when she was in the hot seat, before the tears started to flow and she admitted that she didn’t know what was happening.

“I don’t really know,” she continued. “I know how I feel about him, and that I love him. I’m not ready to just turn my back on him. So…I’m willing to try.”

Then again, Courtney said that Ben was supportive of her when the show first premiered—”and then he abandoned me.”

“He didn’t send flowers, a card or anything” on Valentine’s Day, she recalled, adding jokingly, “He didn’t even send carnations!” (Another Sex and the City joke to go with her vows, FYI.)

There were times “I didn’t leave the house, I just laid there and I cried,” Courtney said sadly, noting how important trust is to her.

Judging by what she said on her own, we imagine that she was confused when Ben came back out, sat down beside her, and told Harrison, “We’re engaged, we’re in a good place. Now that the main part of the show and the negativity is gone, it can only get better.”

“It hasn’t been an easy ride,” Ben said in the understatement of the night. “I want to apologize to her, in front of everyone, for not standing by you throughout this entire journey…I messed up in that regard, as an engaged couple and as the man, I feel I should have stayed with you the entire way instead of taking steps back and taking time apart.

“That was my coping mechanism,” he said to Courtney, “but you know that’s not how I operate in real life. We’re about to start ‘real life.’”

But before “real life” could begin, Ben and Courtney got to relive their televised proposal in all its romantic Swiss glory.

Those feelings “never left,” Ben said. “There was never anything wrong with us. It was everything that surrounded us…that beautiful moment has just been soiled by all of this. That’s where there have been uncertainties. It means as much to us, but nobody gets that.”

He said that he “absolutely” feels the same way about Courtney as he did on the day he proposed. and when Chris pulled what was Courtney’s ring out of his pocket to test whether they were really engaged or not, Ben slipped it back on her finger.

“Yeah, I do,” Ben said when Chris asked if this relationship will end in a wedding.

Are Bachelor’s Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson Still Together Now?!

Despite being sent home on The Bachelor season finale, 27-year-old business development manager Lindzi Cox feels no animosity towards California winemaker Ben Flajnik, 29.

“At the end of the day, yeah maybe it was tough for a little bit, but he made a decision, it was what’s best for him, and I respect that,” Cox said on good Morning America Tuesday. “I wish him nothing but the best.”

“When I watch it on TV, I could see why he’s with [Courtney Robertson, 28],” she added. “They really did have a solid connection.”

Cox did, however, take a small jab at Robertson, who often took her clothes off on the ABC dating show. “She was nude a lot,” Cox told co-host Lara Spencer. “Maybe if I skinny-dipped I wouldn’t be here with you.”

The jilted Bachelor contestant didn’t appear on the After the Rose special Monday, as she felt Flajnik and Robetson had too many issues that needed to be addressed.

“Ben and Courtney came out and it was a pretty emotional go they had. I think it was tough for them. I’m in a good place. I don’t really need my closure,” Cox said. “I think Ben has bigger things to worry about, so we just decided that I’d play another day.”

Cox added that she’s “in a really good place now” and doesn’t regret appearing on The Bachelor. “I learned a lot about the experience. It’s awesome. I would totally go do it again,” she said. “I wish them nothing but the best.”

(ABC 6 NEWS) — the day after Christmas is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. It's a popular day for something else too, returns. Finding that perfect holiday gift for someone can be tough, and every year, shoppers are striking out.

"I have 5 children so it's kind of hard to get everything right,” said one shopper.

So if you don't want to hold on to that unwanted gift, or you just bought the wrong one, why not take it back? That's what a lot of people did the Monday after Christmas.

"We do get a lot of returns, a lot of exchanges,” said Store Manager Randy Forster at the Younkers in Austin.

Before you take it back, make sure it can be returned and that you understand the store's return policy. At most stores you'll find the return policy on the back of the receipt.

"There's no time line on the gift receipt and there's no time line with a normal receipt as well. As long as you have that receipt,” said Forster about Younkers.

however, every store is different and a lot of them have time limits. Like at Target, receipts say 90 days, but it can be different for certain items. Like for returning electronics, at Target you have 45 days, and just 15 at Walmart. At best Buy, you have until January 24th.

Plus at some stores, you'll need more than a receipt. "to prevent return fraud, many of these retailers are tracking returns and want to tie your ID to your returns,” said GMA Technology Contributor, Becky Worley.

an estimated $46 billion in gifts will be taken back to the store. That's 4% up from last year.

This is Tom Jones

by on May 25, 2011

The Tom Jones Show was a variety show that aired from 1969 to 1971 on ABC in the United States, and the BBC in Great Britain . the show featured many Music Greats of the era, Janis Joplin, the moody Blues, and Aretha Franklin to name a few .Time Life Entertainment has released several DVD sets drawing from the show, These are Highlights of the show and not complete episodes, though usually half the complete show is given. as I have stated on some of my other pages, I am an avid Vinyl Record collector, and I have discovered so many artists through that old but still surviving format, artists like Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass , Enoch light and the light brigade, and Tom Jones, Considering Tom’s biggest hit, and one of his best known signature songs She’s a Lady was released a few months before I was born in 1971, I hardly had much exposure to this British Import. certainly not in his Prime. and Being able to find a dozen major albums on vinyl for less than ten dollars is mind Blowing, especially considering How great this guy was and is, this dude can sing, and he does it all, He could work a crowd like no one else, and listening to his live recordings from the 70′s was a real treat. the way he would joke around with the woman in the audience in between songs, in a very politically incorrect way , " I really got a kick out of that " they Don’t make entertainers like this anymore, they are a dying bread. But Tom Jones has kept on fitting in ,and retooling his choice of material. and has managed to keep him self relevant all these years. wow ! can you believe Tom Jones is 70 years old ! please scroll down and check out some of the videos and plenty more about this great entertainer .
