With mobile success already under its belt, we consider Apple’s next move and why it could change the way you play at home forever.

Even the most blinkered of Apple skeptics will admit that the rise of the iPhone — and its close siblings, the iPod Touch and iPad — has been nothing short of meteoric. since the inception of the original 2G iPhone back in 2007, Apple has shifted an incredible 190 million units of its combined iOS range, making it one of the most successful platforms of the modern era, and the company recently overtook Google to become the most valuable brand in the world.

One area where Apple has enjoyed particular (and some would argue unexpected) success is in the distribution of games. the iPhone App Store now boasts over 350,000 items available to download, a large percentage of which are focused solely on finger-friendly entertainment. Titles such as Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, and Flight Control have sold in the millions, making gamers out of people who ordinarily wouldn’t even dream of picking up a traditional controller, let alone purchase a portable console.

Apple’s conquest of the interactive entertainment arena shows no sign of relenting, either. Recently, the company acquired the services of former Nintendo UK Head of Communications Rob Saunders and Activision’s Nick Grange. while neither individual is involved explicitly with games development — their expertise lies in the field of public relations — such bold moves are nonetheless a clear indication that Apple is keen to take control of its own destiny when it comes to gaming, and could hint at a wider attack which will leave stalwarts such as Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft reeling.

While it’s tempting to assume that Apple’s fresh gaming-focused strategy is merely to buttress its existing portable iOS business, we believe the Cupertino-based company has something a little more dramatic planned. Apple is a company that is constantly looking to expand into new and fertile territory, and there’s another equally profitable arena that is just waiting to be dominated: your living room.

Apple is a company that is constantly looking to expand into new and fertile territory, and there’s another equally profitable arena that is just waiting to be dominated: your living room.

Apple has made no attempt to conceal its desire to take control of our televisions; Apple TV – a set-top box which grants access to movies, TV shows and music – may have experienced some teething problems, but it continues to be an ongoing venture for the firm. what better way of solidifying its future than by adding the ability to play games into that package? or perhaps Apple is cooking up something even more drastic, such as a fully-fledged gaming system?

With the recently-launched iPad 2, Apple certainly has the hardware to make such a daring move. the iPad 2′s technological prowess is nothing short of incredible when you consider its svelte frame; already impressive iOS titles like Infinity Blade are given an additional layer of detail that approaches the sort of lavish imagery we’re accustomed to seeing on our Xbox 360s and PS3. With the current generation of iOS gaming arguably giving the Nintendo Wii a run for its money in graphical terms, an all-new Apple “console” based on the Apple A5 ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore CPU — which powers the iPad 2 and is expected to make its way into the next iPhone model — could easily be up to PS3/360 standard…or possibly even beyond.

There are s many causes for people to jailbreak their iPhones. The two main reasons why people jailbreak their iPhones is for applications, music, or video downloads. did you know that there are actually websites that are available on the web that allow you to be able to jailbreak you’re your iPhone?. They do! these websites even provide the software with all the guidelines needed to obtain the download which others don’t have. In the normal course most of these websites have placed a one time fee that is very low priced for availing all their services for downloads to the iPhone.

There are so many things that one get as download for their iPhone from these websites like music movies and even TV downloads for entertainment. Instead of having to pay every time you download something like you would with the iTunes website, you can choose to download from any other website for your iPhone which would save you a lot more money if you did so. There is no need for one to pay for each and every download they make instead there is a very reasonable charge for the membership alone that makes one to save a lot of money.

Anyone making use of these can get admission to a whole lot of music, movies and TV shows. as soon as people get to know that they need not have to pay for every download like in iTunes then they will certainly be more than happy to get all that they had wanted from a different iPhone website. Everyone wants to get as much as possible for the least price. Inorder to get all the things possible for your phone try to look for iPhone websites that provide just this as you will benefit the most.

In order to protect your phone from any of the viruses that may be present in the downloads try to be sure of where you are getting them from as it may harm your phone. one has to be very careful especially with the files that have torrent or even the ones that have been shared by multiple people. these cause a lot of damage to both ones iPhone and the computer also.

It will be worth paying the charges to the good and trustworthy websites that provide safer downloads on-line the ones that always have a danger of exposure to ones iPhone and system to all kinds of viruses. it is well worth it though to pay for something that would be a lot safer for your computer and phone. it is mandatory to have an anti-spyware on ones system so that it can detect the virus that may attack ones system while download takes pace.

Obsolete!!!?

by on November 18, 2010

I just bought a iPod Nano, and I just heard Apple is having a event on Sep.5 and they are showing off new iPods and iPod Nano’s. when these new iPods come out, is there some type of trade plan, becuase my iPod will be obsolete.

The oldest member of the 19-child Duggar family is proving that the apple doesn’t fall from the extremely fruitful family tree: On Thursday, Josh Duggar revealed live on TODAY that he and wife Anna are awaiting the arrival of their second child.

“We’re expecting!” a beaming Anna Duggar told Meredith Vieira via satellite from Springdale, Ark., as her battalion of in-laws looked on. Anna said that she and Josh, both 22, found out they’re in a family way on Oct. 8 — a special day for them, as it’s their daughter Mackynzie’s first birthday.

Though Josh was joking when he told Vieira that he and Anna “might be going for 25” children, he does already have a head start on his mom and pop: Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar married in 1984, but didn’t welcome first child Josh into the world until four years later.

Josh and Anna’s second child is due June 19, three months before the couple’s third wedding anniversary.

Joy after heartbreak

That Anna is ready to give the Duggar family a new addition is a special blessing after parental heartbreak: Just months after Mackynzie was born, Anna learned she was pregnant again, only to miscarry. Anna told Vieira she thought long and hard whether to reveal the miscarriage, but decided that talking about it could help others.

“I think a lot of ladies can relate,” she said. “Thirty to 40 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage, but most of the time it happens so early on, you don’t even realize you’re pregnant.”

Devout Christians like all the Duggars, Anna and Josh put their faith in a higher power during troubled times.

“It was hard to go through the excitement to find out we were expecting a little one, and then losing it,” Anna told Vieira. “But one thing that really helped was thanking God; thanking him in the good times and thanking him when things don’t go the way we expected them to.”

Faith and family

Religious beliefs have much to do with the family’s large size. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar practiced birth control early on in their 26-year marriage, and after Josh was born in 1988, they returned to it. but after Michelle suffered a miscarriage, the Duggars vowed to put their faith in God and have as many children as they could be blessed with.

Since then, Michelle Duggar has given the family 19 children through 17 pregnancies (two resulted in pairs of fraternal twins). The last of the 19, little Josie Brooklyn, was born in December 2009 — making her two months younger than her niece Mackynzie!

Speaking with Vieira on TODAY Thursday, Jim Bob Duggar clearly reveled in the news he’s going to be a second-time grandpa. “This doubles our grandchildren — we’re really excited about our new grandchild,” he said.

The gender of Josh and Anna’s second child is not yet known. Jim Bob and Michelle have 10 boys and nine girls; the birth of grandchild Mackynzie evened the gender lineup. Josh Duggar told TODAY his sisters are especially hoping to add a girl to their ranks so that females will assume the majority.

And while Jim Bob and Michelle are welcoming grandchildren, they aren’t ruling out the possibility they may have a 20th child themselves. The couple’s last child, Josie, was born three months premature and weighed only 1 pound, 6 ounces at birth, but is now thriving.

Michelle, 44, addressed the possibility of a 20th child in an interview with Radar Online, saying, “We would love more! I know that my mommy years are probably numbered, and I don’t know how many more children God will see fit to give me.

“That is something that we’ve prayed about and we’ll just see what the Lord has in store for our family in the future.”

Why?there is nothing SO special about them but people buy them so everyone knows they have a bag that cost thousands of dollars, they are quite nice but there are plenty of bags way nicer and their isnt a 3 year waiting list forJay-Z mentioned them in a song.. who knows. its a status thing.it is the popularity otherwise knownas “fame” but they are nice and made out of good material and the brand name is it all

Iphone Update?

by on June 21, 2010

On Apple.com it says there is an update for current iphone owners. but then when i plug in my iphone and check for updates it says there are none and i have the current version.

Can anyone explain this?

(How i found this out)
Go to this link:

http://www.apple.com/iphone/

and scroll down until you see “Current Iphone Owners” and click that and it shows you the updates.
Ohh.. i just saw it said Coming Soon.

How long do i have to wait then?

Iphone Update?

“I’ll wait for one more iPhone upgrade cycle to hear whether or not the iPhone is coming to Verizon,” says the typical Verizon customer, “before I finally give up and switch to AT&T so I can park my current generic phone and my current iPod touch in favor of finally fully getting on the iPhone bandwagon.” Then Apple has yet another public event in which many things are introduced and a Verizon iPhone is not one of them, and the user says “Alright, I’ll wait one more cycle” and goes back to biding his time. We hear this sentiment so often from so many Verizon users, many of whom are coming to Beatweek.com specifically to try to find out information on when/whether/if a Verizon iPhone might be happening, that it’s nearly a mantra by now. but with the iPhone finally seeing a massive overhaul this month, both in the hardware and software categories, it leads to the question of whether that long cycle of Verizon users waiting for the iPhone, whose patience must by now be wearing thinner than the new iPhone 4’s slim body, will finally now come to an end – seeing longtime holdouts give up and move to AT&T to get their iPhone after all.

Those Verizon users who’ve hung in there with a flip phone in one pocket and an iPod touch in the other all this time aren’t about to abandon the Apple ecosystem in favor of some iPhone knockoff. but the question of whether they have enough patience to now wait until perhaps the end of 2010, or perhaps 2010, perhaps literally forever, for the iPhone to come to Verizon will begin to be answered this summer as iPhone 4 hits the streets in the U.S. on June 24th, iOS 4 follows somewhere in the same timeframe, word of mouth from early adopters spreads about just how much of a breakthrough the fourth generation iPhone really is, and Verizon users start thinking “enough is enough” and start deciding that, as Beatweek’s Steve Loopipe likes to phrase it, “I’d rather hate my carrier than hate my phone.”

So how many of those long-patient Verizon customers will finally pull the trigger on switching to AT&T? With the iPhone having been on the market for more than three years and there not being a three-year cellular contract in existence, waiting for contracts to expire will not be an issue except for users who managed to recently get roped into (sometimes unwittingly) extending their Verizon contracts. some Verizon users have a tendency to convince themselves that they’re hearing iPhone users complaining about dropped calls on AT&T far more frequently than than those complaints are actually being made, but either way Verizon users who find themselves running out of patience and sorely tempted by the category killing nature of iPhone 4 and its surrounding ecosystem will now have to decide whether they can stretch that patience out even further with no end officially in sight, or go ahead and take the iPhone plunge. Here’s why we think they should go ahead and consider doing so.

Verizon vs. iPhone 4: rather hate your carrier or hate your phone?

There is a keynote tomorrow starting at 1pm EST time and I want to watch it online, live. It is probably the launch of the iphone 2.0. can anyone post a link? thanks.
