Granted, newcomers like Childish Gambino, Gotye, the Weeknd and tUnE-yArDs don’t exactly have enough material to switch things up much, nor are the reunions of Pulp, Refused and Mazzy Star apt to produce wildly differing performances. Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s rabidly anticipated debut in the desert also may not be altered week to week, especially if they get as locked into certain special guests (i.e. Eminem) as they reportedly are.
Mark Valeski, right, came up just short in the Risen Star Stakes at the fair Grounds last month.
